The premiere barbershop for those in the know, Fades of Gray has been an industry driver since 1999. Located in the Elliot Park neighborhood of downtown Minneapolis, it's much more than a place to get a quality fade, cut, shave, trim or hair design. Steeped in the community, owner Julian Gray and staff have given back through civic engagement and collaboration with education, law, non-profit, media and sports organizations.
We welcome you to be part of our family of clients, some of which have been with us for the whole ride. Our clientele comes from a variety of backgrounds, range in ages and are from both the cities and suburbs. Doctors, educators, lawyers and professional athletes sit in a chair next to college students and children, and this makes for a valuable family community.
We connect with each other, engage in lively conversation and mentor our youth. Service to us is not just about quality fades and cuts, but it's forming genuine relationships, being kind and respectful to each other and having passion for the community.
"Fades of Gray is a well-respected barber shop located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has been providing superior customer service for two decades. They have earned an excellent reputation in the community and staffed some of the best talent in the industry."
To move forward, give back
We believe in the power of giving. As Denzel Washington says, "At the end of the day, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about what you've done with those accomplishments. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It's about what you've given back." To move forward, we give back which means by stopping in for an appointment, you give back.
Fades of Gray's commitment to community and giving back extends beyond Minneapolis. This spring, barber shop owner, Julian Gray, plans to travel to Honduras (April 2-12) to give free haircuts, help build an apartment building through his church and donate supplies. He needs money for travel and supply expenses. Along with free haircuts, he hopes to give brushes, combs and youth items such as books, balls, backpacks and school supplies. The deadline for donations is Monday, March 30, 2020. Julian and the Fades of Gray community have a reputation of giving back. Please help support their effort! Thank you!
