About Owner Julian Gray

Entrepreneur, master barber, CEO and owner of Fades of Gray Barbershop, Julian M. Gray, Jr., is a savvy business man who has operated Fades of Gray since 1999. Over the years, he has built an impressive clientele list that includes some of the community's notable and distinguished members. Fades of Gray was nominated as the best barber shop in Minneapolis by the US Metropolitan Report (2019) and for the City Pages as the Best Hair Cut (2013).

Julian Gray, a member of the Kappa Alpha PSI fraternity, is a staunch believer in giving back to his community. He is a regular supporter of several beneficial causes including, Project Homeless Connect, Simpson Housing Shelter and Stevens Community Watch. Julian is also a motivational speaker who speaks regularly to youth groups.

In the fall of 2014, Julian was recognized by Voices Magazine for his work to empower immigrants.
